In the next edition of Pinta PArC 2024, Herlitzka & Co. (Buenos Aires) and Henrique Faria (New York) join forces to present a booth proposal that challenges conventional notions of contemporaneity and ancestry in Latin American art.
LUCILA GRADIN: A JOURNEY THROUGH COLOR
Lucila Gradin begins her work when creating her own natural dyes –through dyeing and medicinal plants from all over the world– and culminates it by pursuing the image that leaves every trace of this ancestral practice through embroidery, textiles and compositions on paper. The Argentine artist is part of the RADAR section of Pinta PArC 2024, together with COTT Gallery.

ADRIANA ALMADA AT THE SECOND EDITION OF PINTA SUD ASU 2023
Adriana Almada is an art critic, curator and writer. Her area of work and reflection is contemporary art, both in terms of artistic production as well as exhibition, curatorship and collecting. GABRIELA AYZA ASCHMANN: HER CALL TOWARDS WILD (LIGHT)
The Spanish-German artist Gabriela Ayza Aschmann (Cologne, Germany, 1991) presents in Tomas Redrado Art a series of paintings created in 2022, as an experience of inquiry into the expanded borders of portraiture that strengthens her. It is a sustained practice that she carries out advancing against the background of the history of the avant-garde, but above all she acts as if she were tearing pages from her own life, to add them to art.
CECILIA VICUÑA IN GUGGENHEIM NEW YORK
Cecilia Vicuña: Spin Spin Triangulene is the first solo exhibition in a New York museum for the pioneering contemporary Chilean artist, poet, activist, and filmmaker Cecilia Vicuña (b. 1948, Santiago). Showcasing Vicuña’s artistic production from the late 1960s to today, this exhibition will feature the breadth of her multidisciplinary practice, including paintings, works on paper, textiles, films, a site-specific Quipu (Knot) installation, a one-time performance of a “living” Quipu, and new paintings and works on paper created specifically for this presentation.
ON THE MEANING OF INTERSECTION – EAMON ORE-GIRON’S EXHIBITION IN GENEVA
Geneva-based gallery Espace Muraille presents Eamon Ore-Giron: Auto-Tune, the first-ever show of the Los Angeles-based artist in continental Europe. Curated by Valentina Locatelli and developed in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition gathers eighteen paintings from his ongoing series Infinite Regress, conceived especially for the exhibition in Geneva, and two loom-woven tapestries created in collaboration with the Taller Mexicano de Gobelinos in Guadalajara, Mexico
